Prague 8 can do better. And it starts with people from individual neighbourhoods meeting each other, talking together and putting together concrete suggestions.
That is why we are inviting you to a neighbourhood event with 8žije and Praha sobě at Krakov, which launches our campaign for the 2026 local elections.
We will meet on Thursday 14 May from 16:00 to 19:00 on the open space by the side entrance of the Krakov shopping centre in Bohnice.
We will introduce the neighbourhood contacts
At 17:00 we will introduce our neighbourhood contacts for Prague 8 from 8žije, Praha sobě and the Greens.
These are people who take responsibility for specific parts of Prague 8: Bohnice, Staré Bohnice, Čimice, Kobylisy, Ládví, Holešovičky, Troja, Libeň and Karlín.
We do not want to do local politics from behind a desk. We want people in every part of Prague 8 who know the local problems, talk to their neighbours and can turn suggestions into concrete work.
Tell us what Prague 8 should improve
At the event we will also start collecting your suggestions for Prague 8.
We want to know what bothers you in your street, your neighbourhood or the area around you. Transport, public space, green space, safety, schools, services, cleaning, communication with the town hall. These are exactly the concrete things that decide whether a district is a good place to live.
Your suggestions and our neighbourhood contacts have one simple goal: a better Prague 8.
Programme for children, music and refreshments
The event will not be only about politics. We are preparing a pleasant neighbourhood afternoon for whole families.
Children can look forward to a bouncy castle, drawing with chalk, fun colouring pages and a competition to win a dinosaur.
The music will be provided by Duo Bonet, that is Petra Rézová and Karel Novotný. Our councillor Dana Blahunková will also play, accompanied by her husband Václav and the accordionist Milan Miškařík.
There will be refreshments too: Svijany, Kofola, coffee, goulash, homemade cakes and candy floss.
